SITE PLAN LANDSCAPE SUMMARY

Swiss Re chose this projects's 127-acre site because of its Kensico Reservoir view. Building construction on steep terrain required extensive tree clearing, rock excavation, grading, and storm basins.  Designed site plantings, oversaw installation, and designed tennis court area.

LANDSCAPE PLAN SITE CHALLENGES

More

Refer to Site Drawings below.

1.  Mandatory screening of the Parking Garage from State Route 121. The Approach has a 50’ grade climb with steep slopes.

2. The Building Approach's direct aspect/focus onto  not just a corner of the Building but where its Service Area is located.

Despite the awkward 'Turn', plantings were to create an appealing ‘Arrival’ at the Main Building, with deer present, daily.

LANDSCAPE DESIGN SOLUTIONS

+More

1. Designed the 'Woodland Slope Garage Screen' to knit with preserved trees and the surrounding mature forest trees.

2. Modulated mature plant heights at the Garden Turn (shown above) to create a 'Welcome' garden for Swiss Re visitors.
